Our Line Of Inquiry:
How can we make sure endangered animal's habitats aren't destroyed?
Brianna is researching about lions and their habitats.
Taylor is researching about Black Rhinos and their habitats.
Jazmyn and Rhyan are researching about pandas and their habitats.
We have recently been on the trip to Orana Park!
We talked to a lady that worked there and asked her a few like:

1: Do they have everything that they have in the wild? The animals have everything that they need to survive i.e, food, water, and shelter, but not everything in their enclosures are exactly the same as in the wild. For example, they have different trees.2: How big are their enclosures? It will depend on how large they are like if it were to be a mouse they would only need a small amount of space and if it was a gorilla they have a much more bigger brain compared to a mouse so therefore it would  need a bigger amount of space. 3:Why do you have breeding programmes? Most of the animals at Orana Park are endangered or critically endangered, and it’s likely that many of them will become extinct in wild in anywhere between 5-20 years. One reason that Orana Park participates in breeding programmes is so that if a species does become extinct in the wild, they will hopefully be able to reintroduce these animals back into the wild, and if not they will still have a captive population of this species. Another reason is because if people come in and see the animals, they can make connections with the animals and care about the animals. If people care about the animals, they can help the animals.4:Why do you have breeding programmes? Most of the animals at Orana Park are endangered or critically endangered, and it’s likely that many of them will become extinct in wild in anywhere between 5-20 years.
